We need CAVA in Carlisle!!

Have you been to CAVA yet? I am positive everyone from D.C knows this place. I’ve been hearing about this place from my friends, they say “it’s like Chipotle but better with Mediterranean/greek food” but it didn’t sound that enticing to me at first.

I am so glad I was beyond mistaken when I had a chance to try them yesterday. My senior seminar had a field trip to Intelsat in D.C, located right in front of CAVA in Tyson Corner Center. So before we hopped in the van back to Dickinson, my friends and I went to CAVA to grab a quick dinner.

The whole interior design and assembly line all looked very much like Chipotle. But all the selections were different. It is much more colorful and fresh than Chipotle. I had this grain bowl with Saffron Basmati Rice topped with Hummus, Harissa, Chicken, Roasted Seasonal Vegetables, Pickled Onions,Cauliflower Quinoa Tabbouleh, Shredded Romaine and Greek Vinaigrette. There are also salad bowls too that you can choose from SuperGreens, Arugula, Spinach, Romaine, and Mesclun as your base.

The portions here is pretty big. Except Proteins and Dressings, you can choose up to three Dips and Spreads and choose as many toppings as you like. There are so many variations, and honestly, you can have so much fun arranging toppings!

It was the healthiest fast food I’ve ever had! I am already hooked and miss it terribly. It’s a perfect quick lunch option.

If you are a first-time customer, I highly recommend to take a look at their menu before you get in the line. Here is the link to their build your own menu http://cava.com/menu

Check it out before you go! So you don’t slow down the lunch lines thinking what to get!

Oh and also don’t forget to try their custom drinks here. They have seasonal juices and teas made fresh daily. I rarely order drinks but I just had to try their Apple Cinnamon Sage. SO GOOD OMG!
